bleach kills
and so do i. i have lost all motivation to cook, mostly due to my inferior kitchen and the lack of adequate food preparation area (i.e., there is very little counter space). so i have been letting dishes pile up in the sink for over a month (i've been subsisting on sandwiches, attractive because they can be made and served on a paper towel). finally confronted the sink today during lunch, and what started out as a modest collection of plates, bowls and sliverware and morphed into a mouldy mountain of goo. i was tempted to just bag everything up and toss it in the trash. i doused the whole pile in clorox -- and it is pretty amazing what that stuff will do. of course, my hands and my eyes are still irritated, but it got my dishes clean.
i finally caught some mice a few days ago. my mousetraps got robbed (the peanut butter was gone, but the trap did not go off) so i bought some glue trays. the first night i set them out, i was awakened by the sound of two little mice squealing helplessly. it really was a pathetic site. i took the whole thing and dumped it in the trash can. i felt bad about not letting them go, but i figured they'd have plenty to eat in the trash can and i was worried that if i let them go in the yard, they might find their way back inside. and after cleaning up a mouse's poop, it really makes you somewhat indifferent about its fate.

you are a horrible, horrible person.
If the mice are outside - sure, Live and Let Live. But when they are inside, you gotta do what you gotta do.
Or maybe Christina is mad about Chris killing all the bacteria with the bleach.
