bill called me this morning to ask he if would have color on his jump page because his thumbnails weren't ready yet; i went to ask marsha -- whose job it is to do the layouts and fax the thumbnails -- and she said "tell him i'm not sitting around with my thumb up my ass. i'll send them in a minute."

she and the entire advertising and composing departments are mad at me because we stole jonathan, arguably their most competent person, away to edit the wilkinson county post.

just found out dubose is leaving for philmont next week and he won't be back until the end of july. so that means i really need to give him my notice this week -- if i wait until he returns, there will be less than two weeks left before i leave and that's just not enough time.
