i did something i rarely do anymore... i stayed up through most of the night reading a book in a single sitting. i started "the davinci code" friday night at my grandma's house in valdosta and i just didn't want to put it down. i kept reading and reading, and next thing i knew i was through 300 pages. by that time it was pretty late, so i decided just to finish it. anyway, good book. i highly recommend it.

the next day i helped grandma buy a new car, so that was pretty cool. i've never been in on the negotiations for something like that -- actually, i did all the talking and i was pretty happy with the price we worked out.

saturday afternoon i got to play the new pipe organ at her church (it's the one they tore out of all saints' in atlanta to make way for their new one). it's truly a magnificent instrument -- probably the best organ in south georgia.
